What is a large language model (LLM)?
A large language model is a model trained on very large amounts of text to predict language well enough to summarise, classify, extract, draft and reason over documents. It is a component, not a product. The business value comes almost entirely from the workflow built around it: what it is given, what it is allowed to do, and who checks the result.
