Worth investing in when there is real search demand for what you do and a long enough sales cycle for content to pay back. Less useful when demand is created by outbound sales or when the category is too new to be searched for.

• Publishing volume instead of usefulness, which now performs worse than nothing.
• Rebuilding a site without mapping redirects, which discards years of accumulated authority.
